Prevent Sweating in Heels

High heels can instantly take your ensemble from ho-hum to fabulous. Day or night, the look of heels dress up any style, but what those heels are hiding can be not so glamorous. High heels put strain on your soles, so its no wonder they can cause sweaty feet, thus making them even more of a challenge to maneuver in. Taking a few simple precautions and steps can help you get around in your high heels without damp, and smelly, sweaty feet.

Instructions

    1

Make sure the inside of your heels are clean and free of any debris. Wipe them down with a damp cloth if need be, and let the inside dry completely. Peel back the adhesive lining of a heel insole. Place the top part where the ball of your foot would go. Press down gently on the insole all the way back to the heel making sure it is centered in the middle of your shoe from ball to heel.

    2

Try on the shoe briefly to ensure that the insole fits comfortably. If not, remove shoe and readjust accordingly until it comfortably cushions the ball, arch and heel of your foot. Once youve found a good spot, press down firmly and walk around in the heels for a minute to secure insoles.

    3

Clean your feet with warm water and soap, then dry completely with a towel or let them air dry. Apply a deodorizing powder to the soles of your feet and in between your toes. Get enough to result in a fine coating. Also coat any areas atop your feet with powder, if you know they will be concealed by the heels.
