How to Clean Khombu Women's Bellini Faux Fur Boots

The Khombu Women's Bellini Faux Fur Boot is a suede-leather winter boot with a rubber sole. Winter boots undergo lots of damage throughout the season: salt stains, scuff marks and dirt all contribute to the wear of suede boots. Since suede is a textured material, any liquid cleaner will damage the shoe's integrity. Instead, use suede-specific cleaning methods.

Instructions

Sand off large stains with an emery board, using quick back-and-forth motions.

Remove smaller stains with a kneadable eraser. Stick the eraser to the boot and quickly pull it off, removing dirt.

Revive suede that has been in the snow or rain with a teakettle and a toothbrush. Boil water in the teakettle, then hold the steaming spout close to but not touching the boot. After a few seconds, use a toothbrush to make quick strokes, raising the suede to its natural texture.

Spray your boots with waterproofing spray made for suede shoes, following the directions on the bottle. This will protect your boots through harsh weather.
