How to Clean a Slipper Boot

Slipper boots give your feet a warm, toasty feel during the cold winter months. These luxuriously snuggly indoors boots are made from a combination of sheepskin and suede. Regular wear and tear can cause your slipper boots to become dirty, necessitating cleaning. Use the correct technique to clean dirty slipper boots and enhance their longevity. Instructions

Fill the inside of your slipper boots with paper towels to easily hold them while cleaning and to also retain the shape. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to loosen any visible dirt on the surface of the slippers. Dip the brush in a bowl of cold water and gently brush the shoes in one direction to remove any surface dirt.

Soak a soft cotton cloth in a non-enzyme liquid soap formulated for leather products. Squeeze excess water out and rub the cloth all over the slipper boots. Set the slipper boots aside for 10 minutes.

Wipe the slipper boots with a clean, damp cloth. Soak the cloth in cold water and gently rub it all over the slipper boots.

Wrap a dry towel around the slipper boots to soak up the excess moisture. Air dry them in a well-ventilated area of your house. Set the slipper boots in an upright position against a wall, and stuff paper towels inside them to prevent loss of shape while drying. You can also use a boot dryer that air dries boots using room temperature air.
