How to Lace Your Sperry Shoes

Sperry shoes were created for wear around the water. Called "boat shoes," they are able to withstand water and are also stain-resistant. In addition, they are are popular for being comfortable and casual, pairing perfectly with a pair of shorts or jeans. Some Sperry shoes are slip-ons that do not require the use of laces, but those that do need to be laced up for wear can be laced like any other shoe. The following over-under lacing method reduces friction on the laces, helping them to wear longer.

Instructions

Feed the two ends of the laces into the bottom eyelets. The aglets should be facing in toward the shoe tongue.

Cross the laces on the inside, and direct them into the next set of eyelets.

Pull the laces out onto the outside, cross, and direct into the next eyelets.

Continue crossing the laces over and under until the laces reach the top. Tie normally.
