How to Dye an UGG

UGG boots are made using high-grade sheepskin known for its comfort and durability. Using tough sheepskin, UGGs are meant to be used as winter boots abd take all that winter weather can throw at them while remaining comfortable. However, if you find yourself getting tired of the same color UGGs year after year, you can dye them and add some new flair to an old pair of boots.

Instructions

Add enough water to the bucket so you can completely submerge the UGG boots you would like to dye.

Add the clothing dye to the water. Consult the mixing ratio on the package of the dye. Different brands of dye may require more or less dye to water. Mix the dye and water using the stirring stick.

Rinse the UGG boots under warm water to dampen the sheepskin and remove any dust or dirt. Make sure to dampen all of the boots. This will allow the boots to absorb the dye more easily.

Add the UGGs to the bucket and move them around in the dye using the stirring stick. Stir the boots and dye around for approximately 30 minutes.

Remove the boots and rinse gently under warm water. Place the boots in a cool, dry place and leave them to air dry for several days.
