How to Get Grease Off Suede Sneakers

When it comes to suede, grease can be your worst nightmare. Grease is one of the most difficult stains to get out of just about any fabric, but with suede, the use of grease-cutting soaps is not really an option. In order to be most effective in grease-stain removal, you must treat the stain as soon as possible. While complete removal is not always possible, this method will at least make the stain less noticeable.

Instructions

Place a paper towel over the grease stain immediately after it happens. Apply pressure to the paper towel to soak up as much of the oil as possible.

Sprinkle cornstarch or talcum powder over the stain. Cover it completely. Allow the powder to sit overnight to absorb the grease.

Brush away the cornstarch or talcum powder with a soft-bristled toothbrush.

If the stain is still noticeable, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone or is less noticeable.
