How to Clean Bass Sandals

Bass sandals and other leather sandals give wearers stylish comfort during outdoor forays into warm, summer weather but keeping them clean can be challenging. Since they come in so many different styles, like slide-ons and heeled wedges, they appeal to a wide range of consumers. After a few wears, you may notice the leather of your shoes has become soiled or discolored. Slow down the signs of wear and extend the life of your sandals by cleaning them occasionally.

Instructions

Remove light soil by rubbing a clean, damp washcloth over the entire shoe. Do not oversaturate the shoe, as this can discolor them. Clean both shoes, never just one.

Wipe sandal soles with an antibacterial wipe. Do this once every few weeks to sanitize your shoes.

Use an old, clean toothbrush to scrub dirt and rubbish out of the rubber grips of your shoes. Shoes pick up a lot of trash during wear. Avoid tracking the dirt into your home or car by cleaning the bottoms of the shoes occasionally. For excessively dirty shoes, wet the head of the toothbrush with some liquid dish detergent. Do not apply detergent to the leather uppers, just the rubber undersoles.

Rub leather cleaner over your leather sandals using a damp cheese cloth. Rub the cleaner into the shoe surface, one small section at a time.

Wipe away the soap with a clean, dry cloth. Leather cleaner will keep shoes supple and clean.
