How to Get Rid of Salt on UGGs With UGG Cleaner

UGG boots are not just worn as a fashion accessory. They also keep your feet warm during the cold winter months. Unfortunately, the salt used to de-ice sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and streets can transfer onto your UGGs. Such salt causes noticeable and permanent stains if left on the boots for a long period of time. Using cleaning products offered by UGG Australia eliminates salt without staining your boots.

Instructions

Mix Sheepskin Cleaner & Conditioner with an equal amount of distilled water. Diluting the product prevents accidental damage and using distilled water, which is free of many agents found in tap water, prevents stains.

Dip a lint-free cloth into the diluted cleaning solution.

Wipe the salt off the UGGs gently. Avoid wiping too hard to prevent damage.

Dip the UGG cleaning brush, which comes in the care kit, into the diluted cleaning solution. Gently scrub the boots to remove any salt that is stuck on the boots. Scrub in one direction only to avoid damaging the shape of the footwear.

Saturate a different lint-free cloth in a small amount of distilled water. Wipe off the areas of the UGGs that you cleaned.

Allow the UGGs to dry naturally in your home. Do not use heat, such as from a hair dryer or heater, or sunlight to dry the boots. Using a standard fan is OK.
