How to Get a Perfume Stain Out of Uggs

Perfumes, because they are petroleum-based, can stain clothing. A perfume stain can be particularly difficult to remove from leather if you're not aware of how to go about it. Leather's delicate character precludes washing it in a machine or using very strong soaps or detergents. If your Ugg boots have been stained with perfume, you can remove the stain yourself, as long as you do it carefully.

Instructions

Dust the stain with talcum powder. The powder will absorb some of the stain if it has not been sitting for too long. Leave the powder to sit overnight.

Dust off the powder with a damp, soft cloth.

Dab a small amount of mild dish detergent onto a damp, soft cloth and wipe the stained area with the detergent. Let the Uggs sit for 30 minutes. Wipe away the detergent and stain with a damp cloth.

Apply leather cleaning lotion designed for sheepskin to a clean soft cloth. Rub the soap into the boot in a circular motion. This will help remove what is left of the stain while also conditioning the leather.
